Sam Smead Memorial Park

Information:

The Sam Smead Memorial Park is located on Maple Street & Stony Creek Road in Hadley.

 

This Park offers Basketball Courts, Tennis Courts, Playground Equipment for the children, Habachis, Picnic Tables, Newly Re-done Softball/Baseball Fields with clay infields, Horseshoe Pits, Beach Volleyball Courts, A Pavillion, And Portable Bathrooms.

 

There is also a Concession Stand with Hot Dogs, Hamburgers, Chips, Soda, Water and Coffee available during most all scheduled events that take place in the park. All proceeds from the Concession Stand benefit the Park Committee.

 

The Town of Hadley has a beautiful Bandstand with bands scheduled.

 

There are Friday Night Concerts in the Park starting July 10th through August 8th, 2009.

 

 Concerts start at 7:00 p.m.  See the calendar for details of the bands scheduled.

 

There is also a Tuesday Night Softball League that plays June through August.

 

On August 8th & 9th, the Stevie Madison Annual Softball Tournament which is in honor of Stevie Madison who was a local soldier from Corinth, who died from injuries sustained while on active duty. All proceeds from that tournament benefit the Stevie Madison Fund who in turn gives scholarships to students in Hadley-Luzerne and Corinth Schools.
